How to register a Smart, TNT or Sun SIM (2026 steps)
Smart, TNT and Sun SIMs share one registration system because all three run on the Smart network.
Option 1: Smart registration portal
- Open the Smart SIM registration portal from smart.com.ph.
- Enter the number and confirm with the one-time code sent to the SIM.
- Enter personal details and select an ID type.
- Upload the ID photo and take the selfie.
- Submit and wait for the confirmation SMS.
Option 2: GigaLife app
Log in, open the registration prompt, and complete the same fields. TNT users use the same app.
Common problems
- Wrong network: 0917 and 0956 are Globe; a Smart portal will reject them. Check the prefix.
- ID photo rejected: retake in daylight, no glare, all four corners visible.
- Selfie mismatch: remove glasses and hats, match the ID photo’s framing.
Is a TNT SIM registered on Smart or TNT?
Smart. TNT is a Smart brand and uses the Smart portal.
Can I still register an old Sun SIM?
If it is still active, yes, through the Smart portal. Deactivated SIMs cannot be revived.
