Is Globe, Smart or DITO down today? How to check an outage - anongnetwork.com

Signal drops feel like an outage but usually are not one. Work through these checks in order; most people find the problem at step 2 or 3.

1. Is it just your phone?

Toggle airplane mode for ten seconds. Restart the phone. Check that mobile data is on and you are not in a data-saver mode that blocks background traffic. Try a call and a text, not just the internet: if calls work but data does not, the network is up and the issue is data-specific.

2. Is it your load or promo?

Expired promos silently fall back to regular rates or block data entirely. Check your balance and active promos in GlobeOne, GigaLife, the GOMO app or the DITO app. A lapsed registration under the SIM Registration Act also blocks service; the app shows registration status.

3. Is it your area?

Ask someone nearby on the same network. Check the operator’s official social media accounts, which post advisories for planned maintenance and regional outages. Outage-tracking sites aggregate user reports and are useful for spotting a spike, though they cannot confirm a cause.

4. Is it a national outage?

Rare, and when it happens it is on the news within the hour. Fibre cuts and typhoons are the usual causes. Operators usually post estimated restoration times on their advisories.

What to do while waiting

  • Switch to Wi-Fi calling if your phone and plan support it.
  • Use a second SIM from another network if you have one; dual-SIM phones make this painless.
  • Do not repeatedly re-register promos; wait until service returns so the registration goes through once.

Not sure which network a contact is on when planning around an outage? Check the prefix.

Why is my Smart signal gone today?

Most often a phone or promo issue; check the GigaLife app first, then Smart’s advisories.

Is there a Globe outage right now?

Check Globe’s official social accounts for advisories; this site does not track live outages.

Does DITO go down more often?

DITO’s network is newer and thinner outside big cities, so coverage gaps are more common than outages.
